Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction/contractor industry, located in Hoover, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable functions, with duties including receiving bills from vendors, entering data into our systems, and transitioning our systems to Sage.Responsibilities: Receive and process bills from vendors that arrive through mail or email. Enter vendor bills into QuickBooks efficiently and accurately. Transition our accounting system to Sage at the end of June. Manage another system for credit card bills, bill.com. Maintain strong knowledge of QuickBooks and familiarity with Sage. Utilize Microsoft Excel for sorting data and creating reports. Process invoice data entry accurately, ensuring all coding invoices are correct. Conduct regular check runs and account reconciliation. Handle any inquiries related to accounts payable. Ensure all financial data is updated and readily available. Requirements Must have proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Proficiency in executing Check Runs and Coding Invoices Strong Data Entry skills Experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Must have experience in using QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and bill.com Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal High level of integrity and reliability Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required.
