Job description

With RY Services, your responsibility will be to assist parents in overcoming parenting and life challenges in order to become more effective and empathetic parents. You will accomplish this through the implementation of evidence-based parent skill building principles that are individualized to family needs, culture, and readiness to change. We service families in their homes (1-2 times weekly) where they need it most and we can make the biggest impact!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, their family members, and their significant support systems.

-Meet with clients and family members in their natural setting, providing face to face interventions.

-Serve as a point of contact for the Child and Family Team while working in support of the team process.

-Complete Assessments, both initial assessment for intake of clients and updated assessment through out the case.

-Strengthen connections to positive community resources identified by the Child and Family Team.

-Coordinate services with clients/families and other service providers.

-Assist clients and families in obtaining community services, securing appointments with outside services and agencies as needed.

-Complete weekly progress reports, Milestone reports, and closure summaries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

-Be at least 21 years of age

-Bachelor's Degree in any human services related field

-2 years of Teaching/Child Welfare experience

-Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card ·

-Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle, with a clean driving record (no major violations or DUI) within the past 5 years

-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening including marijuana

-Willing to travel to meet families in their homes for services

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

-Ability to relate well with families of varied lifestyles, backgrounds, and ethnicities

-Experience in cultural diversity

-Ability to assess a family’s strengths and weaknesses

-Experience in coaching

-Ability to recognize signs of abuse/neglect

-Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with clients, family members and professionals.

-Critical thinking and problem solving skills

-Computer skills (Google workspace, and Adobe PDF)

8 hour shift (flexible)
