Merit Foods of Arizona, a Tucson-based, local, family-owned company is looking for a responsible and highly motivated team player to work as day warehouse receiver / forklift operator in our Tucson warehouse.
Responsible for receiving and putting away all incoming deliveries to Merit Foods. Operation of warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and forklifts to unload trucks and put received product into the various rooms and locations around the warehouse.
Operate electric pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and sit-down forklifts (training & certification provided).
Ability to understand and operate a computer and scanner with warehouse software.
Receive and put away product in an accurate and timely manner. Multiple truckloads are delivered daily, between 6am – 3pm. Receiving crew must maintain workflow to not get backed up.
Participate in separation and organization of received pallets, prior to putting them away.
Responsible for replenishing product throughout warehouse, and for keeping warehouse clean and organized, with no empty pallets or loose product laying around, during non-receiving hours.
Work with supervisor to identify projects to be completed during down hours.
Ability to take instruction and communicate with fellow team members and supervisors in a respectful manner.
Be safety conscious.
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs, and stand / walk for full shift.
Must be able to work in both warm & cold temperatures, including a freezer kept at 5°F (will only work in the freezer periodically).
