Responsibilities for the Plate Line Operator include but are not limited to:

Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream teammates to address safety, quality, and efficiency issues/concerns.

Operation of overhead cranes, underhung cranes, forklifts, and conveyor systems to move materials within the structural department. Comprehension of assembly prints and reports to match plates with structural parts in preparation for assembly. Safely and repetitively lifting and placing plates weighing up to 50 lbs each by hand. Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Read and interpret shop drawings and assembly reports.

[[custsafetyState]]Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

WQ1 (2G0) welding certificate or the ability to attain one within a specified time.

Initiative - Willingness and confidence to take on responsibilities and challenges in an optimistic and proactive fashion. Includes recognizing and taking action to improve safety, quality, or efficiency.

Production and Processing - Understanding of how quality control, effective time management impacts the production process.

Operation and Control - Controlling operation of equipment. Includes knowing parameters, specifications, and standards.

Preferences:

Experience operating industrial powered mobile equipment

Experience operating overhead cranes

Preferred Qualifications:

Crane and mobile equipment certification.
