Calling all dog lovers, experts, caretakers, near and far; Ace of Hearts has 73 dogs in foster care who need fosters urgently
Please consider opening your home to some of our dogs, like Chief, Tiger, Penny, Dozer, Coco, Athena, Theodore, Gigi, Blanca who are looking for a place to sleep at night! We are beyond appreciative of folks willing to step up and foster a dog.
We are seeking compassionate fosters to provide temporary homes for these rescued dogs while we search for their forever homes. As we rescue from shelters, some dogs may be traumatized, so we need individuals who can make them feel secure, comfortable, and confident. It's incredibly rewarding to see these shy and fearful dogs gain trust, and it's equally rewarding to receive unconditional love from more confident dogs. You will provide loving care and updates on their personalities, and we will cover all other expenses (bed, food, treats, toys, supplies, and vet care).
WE ARE IN NEED OF FOSTERS WITH DOG EXPERIENCE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH LARGE BREEDS.
Stipends are available for fostering if you are unable to volunteer. We offer $300 per month for dog-friendly dogs and $400 per month for dogs that prefer to be the only pet.
Becoming a part of our foster program is an incredibly rewarding experience – you get to help rehabilitate dogs that were left to die at the shelter, giving them a second chance at adoption. Our fosters are true heroes!
What we require from you:
Be 21 years or older (or have parental approval if under 21)
Commit to fostering until the dog is adopted, or at least 2-4 weeks if you cannot make that commitment
Have reliable transportation to bring them to our adoption event in West Hollywood once a month and to a vet of our choice
Be comfortable with large breeds! We primarily rescue bully breeds, and most of our pups weigh between 50-90 pounds. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN ONLY FOSTER SMALL DOGS.
Have NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 OR CATS in your home (please do not apply if you have children or cats, but other dogs are okay!)
Be able to start fostering immediately
Have already discussed fostering with all landlords, managers, spouses, etc., and have their approval. Please do not apply if you have not done so.
