Chief and Tiger: These puppies are bonded together, they are 5-6 months old and little boxer/american bull dog mixes. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles and love seeing blue skies and green grass! They love each other, their toys, their human grade food and cuddles!
Penny, is a german shepard mix. She came from Mexico. she is a sweet girl who loves being the only dog in the home. She does great with adults in the home or older highschool and collage students. The has some anxiety with loud noises like fireworks. but does phenomenal otherwise.
Since we rescue from shelters, some dogs may be traumatized so we need people who will make them feel secure, comfortable and confident. It's incredibly gratifying when these shy & fearful dogs gain your trust. And it's just as gratifying to receive unconditional love from confident dogs. You will provide loving care & updates on their personalities and we will provide everything else (a bed, food, treats, toys, supplies & vet care).
WE ARE IN NEED OF FOSTERS WITH DOG EXPERIENCE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH LARGE BREEDS.
Stipends are available for fostering if you are unable to volunteer. We offer $300 per month for dog-friendly dogs and $400 per month for dogs that prefer to be the only pet.
Becoming a part of our foster program is an incredibly rewarding experience – you get to help rehabilitate dogs that were left to die at the shelter, giving them a second chance at adoption. Our fosters are true heroes!
What we require from you:
Be 21 years or older (or have parental approval if under 21)
Commit to fostering until the dog is adopted, or at least 2-4 weeks if you cannot make that commitment
Have reliable transportation to bring them to our adoption event in West Hollywood once a month and to a vet of our choice
Be comfortable with large breeds! We primarily rescue bully breeds, and most of our pups weigh between 50-90 pounds. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN ONLY FOSTER SMALL DOGS.
Have NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 OR CATS in your home (please do not apply if you have children or cats, but other dogs are okay!)
Be able to start fostering immediately
Have already discussed fostering with all landlords, managers, spouses, etc., and have their approval. Please do not apply if you have not done so.
