Job Description

This position is 50% sales, 35% customer service, 10% light technical support and 5% everything else.

Your responsibilities will include:

Order taking. You will take orders in person, over the phone, by email, or by chat and enter them into our accounting system.

Quoting. You will prepare estimates for our security integrator customers, ensuring that all quoted units are compatible with each other, cost-efficient, and satisfy their customers' needs.

Fulfillment. You will ensure that when a back-order or drop-ship is necessary, the orders are made available for pick-up or delivery to our customer promptly. When difficulties arise, you will work with our manufacturer partners, shipping carriers, dealer customers, and their end-users to resolve them.

Customer service. There will be quite a lot of run-of-the-mill customer-related tasks. These include updating the CRM and responding to customer emails, calls, and messages. Occasionally, we will also ask you to help other team members with shipping, receiving, stocking, kitting, light assembly, etc.

Billing. When a customer asks for technical support, we expect you to ask a few intelligent questions to understand the issue at hand fully. Then, if the problem is easy enough, you can guide the customer toward a solution; in more complicated cases, you will need to refer the issue to internal or outside support teams to ensure that our problem is ultimately resolved.
