Parttime graphic designer for designing print ready, predominantly full color postcards.
Ideal position for experienced designer and layout person who might be fully employed, but is seeking extra work for evenings and weekends. Current experience designing and preparing print ready postcards is a plus.
Remote position. Most jobs do not have to be produced under very tight deadlines.
No keyboarding of copy. Experience is very important in choosing appropriate typestyles and typesizes for headlines, body copy, and coupons for postcards. Also important is choosing stock photos from sources you are familiar with along with judging their value relating to postcard messages. Basic layouts are clean and not cluttered with numerous elements that create difficult problems with spacing and readability.
Bottom line is the importance of experience in producing print ready copy for digital and offset printing.
Can work with printers with whom you are familiar, know are dependable and produce quality work, unless you feel their use would interfere with your present position.
If you are presently an independent print graphic designer, that would be great.
Compensation ranges from $25-50 per hour. As with any job, compensation depends upon professional experience, portfolio samples, and in this case, your location proximity to Glendale.
