Fabrication Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Coordinator with CAD experience to join our team in Santa Fe Springs.

The ideal candidate will coordinate and oversee the fabrication process, ensuring that all projects are executed with precision and efficiency. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, understand the Bill of Materials (BOM), and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate the entire fabrication process from initial design to final production, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.

CAD and Blueprint Reading: Utilize CAD software to create and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Material Management: Oversee the procurement and inventory of raw materials and supplies, ensuring that all materials meet quality standards and are available when needed.

Bill of Materials (BOM): Create and manage BOMs for all projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet the company’s high standards and customer specifications.

Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize efficiency and output, balancing workload and capacity.

Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the fabrication process.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all fabrication activities, including work orders, material usage, and quality control reports.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Compliance: Ensure all fabrication activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing coordination role, preferably in the flooring or construction industry.

Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) management.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, suppliers, and customers.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
