Medical Receptionist

Busy medicine office is in need of aFront Desk Receptionistto join a well-established and growing private practice. Our medical office consist of two Medical Providers and a Lab Draw department. Receptionist will be responsible for scheduling appointments for the two medical providers and for our phlebotomist along with other responsibilities. Our office receives large volumes of calls and emails on a daily basis. Receptionist will need to answer calls, return messages, and respond to emails as directed. Receptionist will work closely with all departments within the office to ensure patients are processed and assisted properly. This position requires an outgoing individual who can be resourceful, is able to multi-task, and be independent while work closely with our doctors and staff .

In this role you will:

 Be responsible for the daily opening and closing procedures of the office.

 Welcome all patients and visitors by greeting them in a pleasant, professional manner.

 Answer telephones; respond to inquiries; resolve issues; schedule patient appointments.

 Collect office visit payments, provide receipts, and balance the total finances of the office on a daily basis.

 Assist patients with the completion of all necessary forms and documentation.

 Build and maintain new and existing patient records through the use of the EMR system and paper charts; entering patient demographic related data, and verify insurance eligibility.

 Build, monitor and maintain physician schedules according to scheduling changes.

 Monitor and respond to incoming messages from office email and recorded phone messages.

 Protect patient privacy by adhering to the HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.

 Maintain supplies and cleanliness of space, restock supplies as needed.

 Contribute to a team effort by smoothly transitioning into other related daily roles, as necessary.

 Maintain daily operations of the office by following standard policies and procedures.

 Other tasks as assigned for special projects.

We require:

 A High School diploma (provide evidence)

 2-3 year of experience, but willing to train the right candidate who is a quick learner, has a strong work ethic, and an interest in the health and medical field.

 Evidence of legal status to work in the USA.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 Ability to accept direction and work within a team concept.

 Experience with an EMR system, typing, computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Word and PDF software a MUST.

 Strong customer service skills, multitasking, and capable of working under pressure.
