Horton, Inc.is currently looking for an Operations Coordinatorin the Operations Department. The right candidate will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining various aspects of operations in the construction of single and multi-family homes.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support the department with administrative duties
Coordinate with other departments to create and distribute, Bid Invites, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Extra Work Requests, ensuring compliance with division and company standard operating procedures.
Data entry, fact-checking and communicating construction releases. Coordinate and communicate information across departments regarding lot starts, land development status, key lot information, and more.
Facilitates and participates in budgeting activities, including monthly reviews with all departments.
Assists in the implementation of business plans and goals to include all operational requirements.
File, save, and distribute as necessary, Inspection Forms, Reports, Work Orders and more.
Corresponding with vendors, suppliers, and other departments
Assists with the setup of new communities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure all deadlines are achieved.
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to work overtime
Ability to travel overnight
Regular and reliable attendance
Assist in other departments as needed
Operate CSMe and JDE, assisting field and vendors as necessary
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two to four years of related experience and/or training
Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well within a team
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
The noise level is generally moderate
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
JD Edwards experience a plus
Bilingual a plus
Provide attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilities communication skills
