We are an established test prep company now in San Francisco. We have been teaching test prep for US college admissions since 2003. Please, look us up and see who we are (search Steven Academy). We specialize in teaching SAT, ACT, APs, IBs, iBT TOEFL, and high school subjects tutoring. We offer such classes for you to teach on-site at our San Francisco address (15th Ave and Lincoln Way).
We are looking for a chemistry and biology teacher (AP Chemistry, AP Biology, SAT reading sections 1 and 2 also helpful).
Remuneration note: Contract post (since 1099 contractor position) but full-time is teaching Monday through Friday throughout the day (during upcoming summer break hours June through August), or at least a majority of those hours. Part-time also is possible, but at least 10 hours per week preferred.
Interview and mock class: There is a mock class requirement in front of just the director via Zoom in AP Chemistry and AP Biology. The mock class need be about 10-15 minutes in each of the two subjects: two AP Free-Response-Questions, one in AP Chemistry and one in AP Biology (probably not all sub-parts will be covered in mock class time limit). You don't need to finish the problems in that time period, but you will be cut off at about that time allotted, since about that time is all that's needed to make an assessment. The mock class itself will be via Zoom and you can use screen share to teach from the teaching materials. Using a tablet and stylus recommended for optimal screen-writing ease.
