Hyperion Wholesale is a wholesale food and product distributor that services a wide range of different customer types including Convenience Stores, Coffee Shops, Hotels, Hospitals, and many others. We are a tight-knit, growing company always looking for good people to join our team and are currently seeking to hire someone for a Sales Order Lead position.
Position Summary:
Sales Order Leads are responsible for taking orders for a set of our full service Retail partners. This includes, but is not limited to, making sure stock is faced correctly, taking back any items to be returned, selling limited new items into stores, and having customer service discussions with owners or key people at our customers locations.
The right candidate will be personable, self-motivated, a good communicator, have some basic understanding of applicable technology (i.e. Quickbooks, Nutshell, etc.), and be capable of being trained on the rest.
Position pay:
The position offers a base wage of $20 per hour, complemented by additional sales incentives. Depending on individual motivation and effort, the hourly rate has the potential to increase significantly. This compensation aligns with the candidate’s experience, expertise, and capacity to contribute value to the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Keeping contact with customers on regularly scheduled routes
- Taking appropriate orders for those customers in a prescribed manner
- Being the first line of Customer Service
- Using technology to track visits and reasons for visits
- Making sure that all returned items are accounted for correctly
- Following set routes to maximize time
- Being meticulous about paperwork, and payments when applicable
- Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems
- Ability to think through and address any problems that may arise
- Ability to make decisions and act in the best interest of the company
Job Qualifications:
- Min. High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 - 3 years in a service-oriented position
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to read maps and follow routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must know his/her way around computers and software systems
- Excellent customer service, and relationship skills
- Must be a great team player
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at times without supervision; organize and manage time
- Ability to drive in all types of weather and road conditions safely
- Good verbal written communication skills required
- Basic math skills required
- Interpersonal skills a must
- Desire to work in an environment with varying time requirements
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, push/pull, or balance weight.
- The employee must lift, move, and/or carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand or may use dolly-type equipment to deliver products to customers when necessary. The employee will regularly drive a company vehicle and must be able to enter and exit the vehicle throughout the day.'
