A Controls Technician is responsible for the commissioning of Growlink systems, as well as supporting our customers and products. This position requires technical proficiency in low voltage wiring, basic plumbing, HVAC control, industry knowledge on plant growth, networking, and basic electrical theory. In addition, to technical skill a technician should be well organized, able to work under pressure, possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to travel. Since travel is a large portion of the job full vaccination and passport are required. Lastly, this is a remote work position when not traveling to customer sites, Colorado residency is not required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Commissioning Responsibilities:
Calibrating Central Fertigation Systems
Programming customer recipes into Growlink UI.
Testing customer recipes for accuracy.
pH correction of customer recipes.
Ensuring water flow and pressure are within engineered specification.
Calibration of the CFS sensors.
Setting up Customer Accounts
Registering customer controllers.
Adding site users.
Building customer dashboards.
Bringing Environment Panels online
Function testing all control points and inputs.
Bring sensors online.
BACnet programming.
Rules programming.
Ensure installation team has installed equipment correctly.
Finish setup of all other pieces of Growlink hardware.
Customer Training
Other duties assigned by management.
Support Responsibilities:
Taking calls/answering support tickets in a professional manner and assisting in the with the follow items:
Warranty replacement
Troubleshooting issues
Training on the Growlink UI
Training on Growlink products
Escalating issues to upper management
Weekend support (when assigned)
Additional Job Requirements:
50 percent of time spent traveling

Qualifications:
At least 2 years’ experience working with electrical installs.
At least 2 years’ experience working with networks, HVAC equipment, plumbing, or the Agricultural industry.
High school diploma or GED
Computer competency – MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong communication, social intelligence and interpersonal skills when using phone, email, text, or video.

BA/BS in a STEM related field
Physical Demands:
Working Conditions - While traveling and working onsite expect irregular work hours.
Physical Requirements - Fine motor skills are needed. Must be able to handle seated work, bending, standing,
twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, prolonged standing or walking, and ladder work.
Weight Requirements – Able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
