Responsibilities: Overall, our security officers are tasked with securing the premises and personnel by staying on patrol, monitoring surveillance equipment, performing building inspections, guarding entry points, and verifying visitors.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informs violators of policy and procedures.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.
Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.
Controls traffic by directing drivers.
Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Interviews witnesses and obtains signatures as needed.
Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Maintains the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One (1) year experience in public safety field preferred. Two (2) to five (5) years security or related experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
Basic computer skills (including spreadsheets, basic internet use, etc.).
Possess good verbal and written communication skills,
Able to deal with all people in a variety of situations.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making
Work is performed in accordance with instructions and procedures, but incumbents must organize the work and set priorities.
Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
Demonstrates good judgment, flexibility in changing circumstances, compassion.
