JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is for a full-time mural artist and will begin as an Assistant/Apprentice role with focus on training and development, with potential for advancement into leadership roles!
Job duties involve project planning and management, project preparation, transportation of supplies to and from work location, on-site workspace set-up, wall preparation, large-scale drawing/painting, finishing and clean-up.
Job duties require interacting with our clients as well as the general public. Artists must be comfortable working out in the community, interacting with people in the public spaces we serve, such as schools, businesses, and community areas.
Job duties also involve working with children and in school based environments.
Job duties require artists to be able to stand for long periods of time, as well as be able to carry/lift paint, supplies and ladders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST have Valid Driver’s License and transportation as work location varies by project.
MUST be comfortable, able and willing to work on elevated work platforms, such as ladders, lifts and scaffold. (Training provided.)
MUST be willing to work indoors and outdoors depending on project needs.
Ideal candidate will be a “people person”, friendly, and outgoing, who enjoys working with people and in public locations with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Ability to be organized and have a strong attention to detail
Ability to work under and follow directions
Ability to complete work in a timely, efficient manner and under deadlines.
Ability to problem solve
Strong painting, drawing, color mixing and design ability (No direct experience with mural painting is required, will train)
Ideal candidate with show strong personal standards for craftsmanship and quality with the ability to complete work at a high-quality, professional level
Ability and Experience working with children is a plus+

SCHEDULE:
Full-time, 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Typical schedule is 8:30 am-4:30 pm, but this can vary slightly depending on job.
