Compliance Officer (Tractor-Trailer Transportation)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure our transportation operations comply with regulations from agencies like the DOT and FMCSA.
- Oversee driver compliance with rules on hours, qualifications, and testing.
- Make sure our vehicles meet safety and emissions standards.
- Keep accurate records of driver logs, inspections, and maintenance.
- Train staff on compliance and stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Audit our operations to identify and fix any compliance issues.
- Manage risks related to compliance and oversee third-party vendors.
- Coordinate local load drop-offs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation compliance, preferably in tractor-trailer transportation.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and related laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required, with Class A endorsement.
