We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients as determined by the registered nurse. Responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel.JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:1.Cleans operating rooms between patients and performs terminal cleaning daily during regular work week.2.Uses supplies appropriately.3.Positions and moves patients with supervision.4.Completes assignments within the shift.5.Keeps assigned room orderly and safe.6.Assists in orienting new personnel as requested.7.Transports patients according to hospital policy and procedure.8.Students currently enrolled in a Surgical Tech program may occasionally scrub on a surgical case as a surgical tech.9.Performs other related functions as assigned.PATIENT/FAMILY EDUCATION:Provides patient/family education as per department and hospital policy and procedure.1.Assists with patient/family/significant other’s learning needs, abilities and readiness to learn. Identifies barriers to learning, such as language or culture.
