Description Robert Half currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Okeechobee, Florida area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position. Further career growth and quick advancement is possible in this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.Major responsibilities
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Perform full-cycle A/P
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Proven knowledge of month end closings
Deep understanding of Vendor Management
Account reconciliation experience
Great Plains (GPAC) experience
Code Invoices experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Excellent attention to detail
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
