Job Summary
Driver Instructor
Job Summary: We are looking for someone who is energetic, positive, and patient. Must be able to communicate clearly while explaining directions. Must be in a Good Mood at all times while with customers and can handle stressful situations in a positive manner. This is mostly a Friday through Sunday position with potential opportunities to work more during the weekdays.
Duties and Responsibilities
Student Driving: Engage with students in a courteous and positive manner while following our curriculum on how to drive and teaching driving skills so students can pass the state driving test and become a safe driver.
Weekend Requirements and Qualifications
Strong communication skills are essential.
Will need to take and pass the Certified Driver Education Course and complete all state required paperwork.
Must have the Ability to analyze hazardous situations, identify potential problems, and provide effective driving skills in those situations.
Punctuality and commitment to working weekends consistently is highly important.
Comfortable using customer service software, databases, and basic computer applications and also collecting payments.
Prior experience in education and working with students is important.
Must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license with no accidents within the past 3 years that were your fault.
Must be cleared to work with children with a Level 2 background check.
High school diploma or higher required.
Bilingual speaker would be ideal.
Compensation is paid per lesson. $20 an hour during training. $30 an hour during lessons. Part-time, mostly weekends and some evenings.
