Job description
Duties
- Perform asbestos abatement and removal tasks in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Set up containment areas and ensure proper sealing to prevent the spread of asbestos fibers
- Safely remove asbestos-containing materials using appropriate tools and techniques
- Dispose of asbestos waste in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct air monitoring and sampling to ensure a safe working environment
- Follow established protocols for decontamination and cleanup after asbestos removal
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in asbestos abatement or related field preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines for asbestos removal
- Familiarity with mold remediation and restoration processes is a plus
- Ability to work in hazardous environments while adhering to safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
