Looking for a full-time Checker to join our Freight Team who works well in a fast-paced warehouse team environment, is highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and can efficiently multi-task to ensure timely completion of job duties.

Hours: Monday through Friday - varied start times from 5:30am; weekends as necessary; non-exempt

Essential Duties:
Load and unload various types of freight from containers to and from terminal floor as well as delivery trucks by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, palletizing, shrink wrapping, operating a forklift or electric pallet jack, and accurate completion of corresponding paperwork (i.e. container manifests, movement copies, and delivery receipts including exceptions, load routing and freight loading into delivery trucks, and identifying pro numbers, labels, pictures, & unmanned freight).
Assist customers with Will Call pick-ups.
Assist drivers with deliveries on the road and safe navigation of delivery locations.
Follow instructions from Terminal Supervisor and Senior Lead Checker.
Maintain warehouse and facility cleanliness.
Perform all end of day protocols including facility and equipment security.
Maintain accurate equipment inventory.
Audit paperwork, support fellow workers with completion of work assignments, assist with training as directed, and assist with maintaining expected work pace of the team to achieve daily operational goals.
Always think and work safely to prevent work injuries, accidents and property damage. Comply with all company safety rules, including reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, illnesses and injuries to supervisor or manager and actively participate in identifying ways to make our company a safer place to work.
Qualifications: Required (R) or Preferred (P)
Minimum 2 years related business experience: (R)
High school diploma or equivalent: (R)
Fluency in English (oral and written): (R)
Effective oral and written communication: (R)
Forklift and electric pallet jack certified: (R)
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.: (R)
Excellent attendance and dependability
