Quote appropriate lighting control packages for competitive bids.
Key inside project coordinator that will work with inside and outside staff to ensure successful lighting controls projects.
Serve as technical subject matter expert on all lighting controls manufacturers that Commercial Lighting Sales represents.
Work with outside sales staff to specify appropriate products for inclusion in project drawings, to include generating system drawings.
Manage factory resources to ensure project specifications & bids stay on timeline.
Coordinate orders between customers and factories.
Compile project drawings and create Bluebeam drawings to be submitted to customer for approval.
Coordinate returned submittals and resubmittals.
Required:
Understand basic concepts of electricity & electrical troubleshooting.
Able to read electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and similar construction documents.
Time management & prioritization skills.
Ability to communicate with Electrical Distributor, Electrical Contractor, Consulting Engineer to verify functional lighting control system specification.
Preferred:
Technical experience would consist of 2-5 years of experience in an electrical, field service technician, or audio/visual or telecommunications installer role.
AutoCAD and Blue Beam experience.
Willing to learn basic lighting concepts (color temperature, lumens, foot-candles).
Willing to learn lighting control protocols, dimming technologies & develop sequence of operations for lighting controls.
Basic understanding of Ethernet networking and network topologies
