Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter/Laborer to join our team. As a Painter/Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to painting and general labor duties. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching holes or cracks
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Mix and match colors to achieve desired shades and tones
- Follow blueprints or instructions to determine the scope of work
- Repair damaged surfaces by filling holes or cracks with plaster or other materials
- Assist with general labor duties such as moving materials, cleaning work areas, and maintaining tools and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in painting and general labor preferred
- Knowledge of building and frame carpentry techniques
- Familiarity with stucco application and restoration processes
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Proficient in using airless paint spraying equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to match colors effectively
- Basic knowledge of color theory and its application in painting projects
- Skilled in plastering techniques for surface repair
- Maintenance Person skills for minor repairs and maintenance
