Senior Accountant

Join our team as a Senior Accountant where you'll play a vital role in our financial operations. Your primary responsibilities include orchestrating the monthly financial statement close process, conducting thorough account analysis and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of our general ledger, and ensuring precision and efficiency in all accounting endeavors.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Monthly Accounting Close: Lead the administration of monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables, encompassing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports, all in strict adherence to GAAP standards.

Collaborative Compliance: Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Offer invaluable assistance on special requests and projects as needed.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare meticulous reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness.

Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages, providing critical insights into our financial performance.

Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the capitalization of fixed assets and calculation of depreciation, maintaining meticulous records of these vital resources.

Complex Accounting Resolution: Tackle intricate accounting challenges with confidence, including but not limited to accounting for customer contracts and deferred revenue. Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to resolve such complexities effectively.

Audit Preparation: Assist in the meticulous preparation of audit requests, ensuring seamless cooperation during audit processes.

Financial Analysis: Provide insightful analysis on financial results, identifying trends, performance metrics, and benchmarks to aid decision-making processes.

Ad Hoc Support: Undertake ad hoc accounting, reporting, and project tasks with diligence and efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our financial operations.

Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of evolving accounting standards and regulations, conducting research on technical accounting issues as needed to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Process Automation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the automation of our accounting and reporting processes, optimizing efficiency and accuracy.

Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university.

3+ years of experience with audit, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and budgeting functions

CPA certification a must

Knowledge of accounting procedures and principles - GAAP

Advanced level of Excel experience including pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, etc. required. Ability to work with large sums of data to summarize using excel techniques.

A critical thinker and a problem solver

Multi-task regularly and perform at a high level in a dynamic environment

Strong attention to detail and follow up

Computer skills required: Accounting Software (Epicor or other ERP system); Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Powerpoint.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
