Timpte is growing and looking for a Electromechanical Maintenance Technician at our David City, NE Manufacturing Facility. Timpte is celebrating 140 years in business and currently employs over 600 employees in 6 states across the Midwest. Timpte offers competitive pay along with a monthly bonus for this position.
PAY for this position is up to $26-$32/hour (depending upon experience) + Monthly Bonus!
Main Job Responsibilities:
Performs tests of moderately complex electronic/electrical systems, electro-mechanical systems, electro-mechanical devices, mechanical devices and hydraulic systems.
Regularly perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and controls to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
Understand PLC logic (Programmable Logic Controller) and use it to troubleshoot and enhance machine performance.
Follow all lockout/tag-out, electrical codes, safety programs, and follow emergency action plan duties.
Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:
Must possess an Associates degree in electromechanical technology or related field and/or 2-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience in performing electromechanical maintenance and repairs.
Must have knowledge of production equipment, operate forklifts, welding, and proficient in using hand tools, multimeters and other electrical measurement devices.
Must have strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to work under general supervision and make quality decisions independently when situation demands it. This includes working with new processes and projects.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to read blueprints, specifications, and repair manuals.
