POSITION: Purchasing Clerk.
PAY: Starting at $25 - $28/HR, based on experience
LOCATION: Hayward, CA
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Clerk will be responsible for coordinating the purchase of cheese and other special purchases.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and track purchase orders and blanket purchase orders and forward to required departments – both internal and external.
Compile records of items purchased. Example: prices, deliveries, and order confirmations.
Responsible for cost changes under the direction of the Buyers.
Responsible for running and reviewing daily inventory reports, special purchase list, and shortage reports for Hayward, Reno, and Amarillo.
Create, track and maintain spreadsheets related to purchasing as instructed by the Buyers.
Assist in obtaining certificates of analysis from vendors and forwarding them to QA.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associated Degree desired. Must have two to four years relevant work experience. Must be computer literate, having the ability to learn, navigate and use designated software programs as required to perform job functions.
