BOOKKEEPING:
All aspects of Quickbooks Desktop - payables, payroll, receivables, reconcile bank statements, reconcile credit card statements and enter credit card charges
Budgets and financial reports as needed
Monitor cash flow
Update mortgage balances
Complete bank transfers and international wires
Receive and create bank accounts for rental security deposits
Complete similar processes for accounts/operations in Mexico
Other duties related to financial operations as needed
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure rents are received
Monitor the credit report
Filing, copying, maintain complete records for legal matters, tenants, and property insurance
Remote and in-person bank deposits
Manage airline miles and book travel
Process property rental applications including running credit reports, checking references, and preparing and finalizing leases once applicant is approved
Assist with property insurance claims and legal actions involving tenants
Maintain calendar of meetings, appointments, travel, and events
Order office supplies, furnishings and appliances for rental properties, and other items
REQUIREMENTS:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Management (preferred)
3 years of experience working with Quickbooks and financial operations
Ability to multi-task
Strong time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Quickbooks
Excellent written communication skills
Proficiency in Spanish a plus but not required
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE:
35 hours per week
$30 - $35/hour
