Procurement Manager/Operations Manager

Description The Procurement Manager/Operations Manager is responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Additionally, they oversee the operations within the organization, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in processes and procedures.Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.

Identify potential suppliers and conduct evaluations to determine their capabilities and suitability.

Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.

Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the procurement process.

Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to promote collaboration and drive improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.

Work closely with suppliers to resolve any disputes or issues that may arise.

Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Develop and maintain inventory management processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.

Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

Requirements

Qualifications: 5+ years' experience in a managerial position within the logistics industry, preferably in procurement. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team. Strong understanding of procurement procedures and systems. Excellent negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
