Job description

A not-for-profit hospice and palliative care program is looking for a Team Assistant to join their team. The Team Assistant (TA) monitors reports and schedules patients daily. Additionally, the TA is required to support all back-office operations as well as timely processing of physician orders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to quickly assess and prioritize work is essential.

Hours: Monday- Friday 10:00am-6:00pm

Temp to perm, fully onsite in the Bronx.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

A computer assessment (Word, Excel, Typing) will be required.

Job responsibilities:

· Prepares reports, presentations and documents as assigned by Team Managers.

· Orders durable medical equipment (DME) from authorized vendors.

· Arranges and schedules ambulance transportation for patients moving to a different level of care

· Handles a large volume of telephone calls and emails.

· Utilizes Netsmart and associated programs to enter and extract patient information.

· Performs all follow-up tasks related to placement of cases.

· Problem solves and anticipates needs for the Clinical Team Manager and Clinical Services staff.

· Assists all Hospice administrative staff with coverage as needed and requested.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma, or equivalent

· Experience One year of experience working in a related field preferred.

· Specialized Knowledge and

· Skills, License/Certification

· Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

· Ability to enter data accurately and in a timely manner.

· Excellent customer services skills and able to work with a team
