Job Summary: We are looking for a professional, dedicated and teamwork oriented line cook for a busy, fast-paced steakhouse. Said candidate will accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Also - performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Responsibilities and Duties: Set up and stocking stations appropriately with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service. Cook menu items & nightly specials in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Keep a clean work environment. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Qualifications and Skills: 2 years prior experience cooking from scratch in a restaurant setting is required. Candidate must be familiar with grill, sauté and/or fry stations. Candidate must be able to work days, nights, weekends and some holidays. Compensation will be based upon experience. When applying, please ask for Caryn or Chris.
