We are looking for a responsible custodian / janitor to clean both the shop and office. Must be a hard worker and self-motivated. Will be self-directed based on list of tasks to be completed on a daily / weekly / monthly basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
Wipe mirrors and windows
Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances and picking up trash
Preform maintenance and minor repairs (replace broken switches, fix door handles, minor leaks, etc.)
Sometimes required to secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors and setting alarm.
General shop cleaning/upkeep
Metal chip cleanout of machines
Some Forklift operations (no experience required, we will train)
SKILLS
Would prefer experience as a custodian/janitor in a similar role but not required
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
Attention to detail and conscientiousness
Very good physical condition
High school diploma is preferred but not required
Physical requirements: Work is performed while standing, and/or walking. Requires bending, squatting, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights. High energy position.
First shift (8:00am-5:30pm range)
