Howl Goods is an apparel and leather goods brand designed for your inner naturalist. Focused on using natural materials to create sustainable, durable items; Howl Goods are made to last generations. With attention to every detail; each piece is intentionally designed to be functional yet beautiful.

This is a multifaceted job; The Retail & Production Assistant will work independently to manage the day-to-day needs of the shop and assist in the production of Howl Goods designs as well as uphold and promote the values as outlined in the Mission Statement and Core Values (below).

DUTIES

Assist with Howl Goods projects; cutting, sewing and packaging.

Assisting with finish work.

Sewing with a machine and by hand, some leather work.

Work independently in the shop (open and close).

Have a friendly and approachable attitude, and interact with customers.

Have a good understanding of Howl Goods, and the products in the shop; be able to answer questions.

Ring up customers.

Price, stock, and restock shelves; merchandise when necessary.

Keeping shop clean, racks organized, merchandise ironed if necessary. Dust, sweep, water plants.

Count till to $200 at end of day.

Help update website with new inventory.

Help with social media.

Additional tasks may be required.

EXPECTATIONS

Be on time and prepared for each shift.

Be able to work independently.

Be able to follow directions and ask questions.

Be a friendly, helpful resource in the shop and maintain a positive presence with customers.

Know what to prioritize (ex. a customer with questions > Howl projects).

Communicate urgent needs to owner in person or via a phone call, less urgent needs can be communicated by text or email.

Speak with the owner directly in the case of any uncertainty.

QUALIFICATIONS

Some sewing skills are necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Self-motivated and self-directed.

Excellent organizational and written communication skills.

Strong critical thinking and time management skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience and consistency.

Expected hours: No less than 14 per week

Schedule:

Day shift (10 am - 5 pm)

Rotating weekdays and weekends with other staff (Everyone should have time to get out and play outside, we can be flexible with scheduling)
