We have one opening for a Production Manufacturer who will be good at using his/her/their hands to make various costume jewelry and pendants. Company has been in business 26 years and we have 10 current employees.
hours are 8am-4pm M-F in South Ashland. 30-35 hours/week. Because there can be a large learning curve, we are looking for a long term employee (2+ years). Please do not apply if you are only looking for short term. Advancement is applicable to your ability to learn quickly and work your way up the ladder to more difficult designs. Raises are given upon mastering new designs. We will train the right person. This is a production job, not an apprenticeship. We have an efficiency bonus, so the more you first quality product you produce in an hour/day the more you will make.
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Create jewelry pieces while following style/size guidelines set forth by management
-Prepare/cut materials on a wet saw
-Maintain a clean work station
-help out with occasional Cleaning/garbage
Qualifications and Skills:
-Excellent dexterity with hands and fingers. able to spin a rod/dowel like a lathe
-Ability to manipulate small items.
-Able to learn quickly and follow precise directions.
-Able to use a caliper/micrometer and learn conversions between English and metric.
-Willing to use a welding/bench torch.
-Able to be self motivated
