Small family-owned service related business is looking for an accountant. We well established and award-winning company. Being a small business, while we all have primary responsibilities, we all pitch in and do whatever to get the job done. That being said, your primary responsibilities will be accounting related.
Responsibilities include: billing - accounts payable with statement reconciliations - accounts receivable - bank reconciliations - journal entries - financial statements with monthly reviews - inventory control - many other administrative support activities. Plus, working together monthly with our company CPA.
As you can tell, this is a position where you will be exposed to many varied activities. You definitely won't get bored.
Besides general accounting knowledge, some of the skills you will need are:
Ability to work independently - logical - able to prioritize activities - attention to detail - timely - accurate - team oriented.
For this position, you need to have an accounting degree and/or 3+ years of accounting experience. Plus, you will need to be experienced at working computer systems, Quick Books, Word and Excel spreadsheets.
