Wildland Firefighting company of 28 years offering free 4 day training to learn how to become a wildland firefighter for this upcoming fire season. Join a 20 person crew that fights fire within 5 northwest states. Must be 18 years or above. Be able to respond within 24 hours of a call and ready to mobilize. There is a fitness requirement of being able to pass an arduous pack test which is: walk 3 miles in 45 minutes with a 45 pound pack. This test is on a high school level track in The Dalles.
