ROOFING REPAIR/Production Assistant
Valiant Roofing is looking for an experienced Roofing Repair Tech/Production Assistant to join our fantastic team!
Qualifications:
-Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
-Be able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
-Must be comfortable with heights
-At least 3-5 years roofing experience, including roof safety experience
-Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
-Basic Handyman Skills for various exterior jobs
Responsibilities: As a repair technician you will be responsible for assisting our crews and production teams with any roofing repairs and loose ends.
Deliver and picking up dump bins & trailers
Deliver various job materials to job sites within a timely matter
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts (ELD)
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
Proven work experience as a truck driver
Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Valid truck driving license
Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required
Medical Card required within 30 days of being hired on (company paid)
The position also may include:
-Assess and bid jobs accurately (following our protocols & guidelines)
-Preform quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner
-Run errands and pick up materials
-Safely operate tools or necessary machinery
-Follow all OSHA, L&I, and company safety policies
-Provide above and beyond support for all team members
