Quiet Waters Outreach is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to serving adults with Developmental Disabilities in Tigard & Hillsboro.
We are seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional for both our Tigard and Hillsboro locations. Our Day Program consists of 5 individuals and we provide support to help develop skills for their everyday life, FUN all while also allowing them a break from being home. You will be able to support guests by taking them on fun outings like bowling, OMSI, visiting the Rhododendron garden, volunteer jobs and more! We provide a variety of options, but this is certainly a job that you can bring your own creative touch to for outings to best cater to the individuals needs and interests.
A vehicle is provided and fully insured by QWO (Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter).
Shifts vary and are available at Tigard & Hillsboro locations:
Mondays-Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm
Duties include:
-Providing and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
-Ensuring the health and safety of adult guests with developmental disabilities
-Leading and assisting the guests in worthwhile and enjoyable activities, games and excursions that promote positive social, spiritual and mental growth
-Assist some clients with mobility, eating and medication administration
-Driving guests around in the community to activities in organization’s vehicle (ie bowling, arcades, local parks, theaters and much more) in Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter
-Ability to support guests if needing supports around mobility.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
First Aid and CPR is required or will need to be obtained if hired.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a criminal background check per State of Oregon standards
Quiet Waters will provide efficient medication training as well as overall training for new employees.
