Position Summary:
Responsibilities include thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and behind-the-scenes hotel areas to maintain cleanliness standards and enable an excellent guest experience. Major duties consist of making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash, and ensuring adequate supply of needs.
Essential Functions:
+ Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
+ Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from rooms.
+ Ensure that all requests from guests and other employees are handled in a timely fashion.
+ Assist housekeeping with special tasks, such as: flipping mattresses, clean light fixtures, walk ways, etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
+ Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
+ Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
+ Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Customer service experience preferred
Ability to:
+ Work with minimal supervision.
+ Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
+ Work as part of a team.
+ Communicate effectively.
+ Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
+ Work well under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
6-8 hours: Standing/Walking, Crouching/Bending/Stooping, Reaching, Grasping
3-6 hours: Pushing/Pulling, Lifting/Carrying (up to 40 lbs.)
Up to 1 hour: Sitting, Climbing Stairs
