Responsibilities:
Execute instructions from Physicians regarding the specific area of the patient’s body to be x-rayed.
Guide patients through the procedure, addressing their inquiries and concerns with clarity and empathy.
Ensure precise positioning of patients and adjust imaging equipment accordingly for accurate results.
Implement measures to minimize radiation exposure, prioritizing the safety and well-being of patients and oneself.
To maintain safety standards, adhere to established techniques and protocols, including patient shielding.
Uphold a clean and secure work environment conducive to optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
Stay updated on current radiology practices and advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
Utilize purchasing and inventory management software as necessary for procurement and inventory control.
Assist in patient rooming, triage, and other medical assistant tasks as required.
Collaborate in arranging coverage for the position during absences such as vacations or leave.
Requirements:
Proficient operation and comprehension of radiographic technology and equipment.
Valid Maryland state license and certification for radiologic technology practice.
Minimum of one year of relevant x-ray experience, including internships.
