Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Production Utility to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA at our High Street facility.
As a Production Utility, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere while responsible for their individual station. This position is required to work Friday - Sunday 6PM-6AM.
Key Responsibilities
Position will primarily be stationed on our Corn line but must be flexible to move elsewhere as needed.
Packs bags of chips into boxes.
Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any changes.
Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
Moves product from packing area to warehouse by pulling jacks filled with product.
Accurately scans finished product into inventory with use of scanning equipment.
Sets up mats and cartons for packers before production begins each day.
Prepares packing area when packaging different products.
Helps relieve for breaks and lunches.
Must be able to safely maneuver and lift up to 50lbs.
Understands how to operate the Shrink Wrapper.
Helps clean floor and equipment in packing room weekly in addition to other Sanitation duties as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Requires basic math and reading skills.
Able to fluently communicate in and read English or Spanish.
Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
Regular lifting (50lbs).
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, pivot regularly.
Ability to be trained to be the backup lineperson and packer.
Ability to be trained to use a hand jack.

As a Processing Utility II, this candidate will be responsible for supporting production, quality and housekeeping tasks in Plant 2 Mix Room areas. This position works Friday-Sunday 5:25 AM - 5:25 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Supports production, quality, and housekeeping tasks in plant 2 mix room areas.
Assists with extruded or twisted lines by monitoring the machinery for dough flow.
Performs and documents weight checks.
Prevents and removes poor quality product from proof belt.
Monitors raw material stock for production on assigned line.
Performs housekeeping tasks involved with production.
Substitutes for other processing operators as needed.
Assists as a Mixer, Twister Operator, Mixer/Extruder, Proofer and Lineperson as needed.
Works in a safe manner at all times and communicates any safety issues to supervisor.
Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
The ability to work as a constructive participant in a team environment.
Basic mathematic skills.
Conscientious measuring of raw ingredients.
Ability to lift 60 pounds repeatedly at 48\" height. (Sourdough tubs).
Ability to stage 55 gallon drums of liquid ingredients using drum dollies (400 #\'s).
Must have capacity to perform 5 skills. Proofer, Mixer Operator, Twister Operator,
Mixer/Extruder Operator and Packaging Associate as needed.
Requires standing 100% of time.

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a QA Technician to work from our manufacturing facility located in Hanover, PA. The required shift is Friday-Sunday 6PM-6AM.
The QA Technician Performs all in process and finished product quality control tests at assigned plant location and keeps appropriate management personnel informed of quality issues
General Position Responsibilities:
Routine Quality Assurance Testing; Product Sample Collection; Physical property testing; Sensory evaluation.
Logging test results in an Excel spread sheet, RedZone or other computer-based format.
Assist in sampling and documenting Environmental Monitoring Program.
Support Research and Development with special testing and sample collection.
Must be able to adhere to a specific frequency of product testing. This test schedule can vary pending specific quality issues that may arise.
Monitor quality specifications of finished products manufactured by outside co-packers.
Maintain an ongoing log of incoming raw materials identifying supplier, product identification, date received, supplier lot number, and quantity and in-house test results. Ingredient suppliers and lot numbers shall be recorded on appropriate daily Q.C. finished product inspection forms.
Follow safety guidelines and meet OSHA safety requirements.
Promote and maintain open honest communication and cooperation with all employees.
Responsible for basic maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.
Work with all plant departments to ensure a high quality, food safe product.
Support Food Safety systems and set example for GMP compliance.
Ability to read and comprehend daily QA spread sheets, data documents.
Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
Good working knowledge of basic mathematics and statistics.
Must be safety conscious and accurate in working in lab environment during the preparation of chemical solutions and test samples.
Mechanical aptitude/knowledge helpful.
Good organizational and communication skills required; must be able to work with all levels of associates.
Basic computer skills helpful for inputting and summarizing quality control data

As a Janitor this candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restrooms, offices, and common areas throughout the Weekend Day Shift. This position works Friday-Sunday 6:00AM - 6:00PM.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and replenish supplies for the office & production area restrooms and locker rooms throughout the shift.
Fills paper and soap dispensers.
Empties garbage cans from various locations in Plant 3.
Cleans and organizes cafeteria.
Collects recyclable cans, paper and glass.
Cleans Quiet Area as needed.
Cleans refrigerators as needed.
Vacuum rugs throughout facility and pedestrian bridge.
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.
Responsible to report unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor.
Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
