FreeWheel is looking for a data and analysis savvy Senior Software Engineer to join our Beeswax engineering team. The team is looking for an engineer who can build integrations and automations for the purpose of gathering relevant business data and then use that data to help guide the team in making data-driven decisions.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties

Be collaborative: communicate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.

Be resourceful: Provide answers to vague questions using disparate data sources.

Be curious: Ask and answer your own vague questions in service of improving the platform for our internal and external customers.

Be pragmatic: Build tools and dashboards to automatically track and report on relevant information.

Be forward leaning: Keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.

Be senior - provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior level Software Development Engineers.

Working conditions The Senior Software Engineering must successfully work with team members located in multiple remote locations and time zones. Working conditions agree with conditions described within FreeWheel’s company handbook unless explicitly noted in this document. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

5+ years related experience. Experience in the media or advertising industry is a huge plus.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong SQL knowledge is a must.

Data warehousing (especially with Snowflake).

Python or similar programming language.

Experience with a Business Intelligence (BI) platform such as Looker.

Experience working in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS).

Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Git, and MS Office products – especially in Excel.
