Fleet Mechanic

What you’ll be doing:

-Verify all vehicles and drivers are properly licensed.

-Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed when due.

-Verify that the appearance of fleet vehicles meet UniFirst standards.

-Sustain a clean, safe, and maintained garage. Purchase parts and monitor quotes for best pricing and quality.

-Provide back up for a shuttle run when needed.

-Ensure all corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on fleet vehicles is completed and up to date.

-Maintain fleet vehicles to ensure they are in safe working conditions, meeting DOT or other regulatory requirements.

-Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

-Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

-High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent is preferred

-Must be 21 years of age or older.

-Associates degree from an accredited technical school and equivalent experience is preferred. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.

-Must meet DOT requirements.

Must be able to perform all vehicle repairs, have diagnostic knowledge with GM drivability

-Must be willing to work overtime as needed and perform occasional road calls.

-3 – 5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including: Preventative Maintenance, tire & wheel, air & hydraulic brakes, drivetrain, computerized diagnostics, suspension, electrical and A/C.

-Proven computer skills and ability to use diagnostic software

-Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
