A CRNP is responsible for managing psychiatric problems and coordinating care for the psychiatric in-patient in accordance with all internal and external rules and regulations. You follow the nurse practitioner standards of care which includes assessment of psychiatric status, diagnosis, development of plan of treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient psychiatric status. Clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members and under the collaboration and supervision of the Chief of Psychiatry. Decisions regarding patient care are made within the scope of the CRNP and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

Possession of a valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid CRNP certification in an Adult Psychiatry/Mental Health specialty area as issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.Post Employment Requirement:

This position requires candidates to obtain and maintain valid CRNP Prescriptive Authority Approval to prescribe and dispense drugs as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
