BI Developer (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Austin, TX); Multiple positions available. Secure access to the Oracle BI platform, granting permission to read, write, create, or review Oracle BI Publisher reports. Design, implement, and maintain the security framework (access rights and privileges, user roles/ groups, and SSO). Support all areas of Oracle BI platform, assisting with problems pertaining to accessing the report or data, including acting as liaison to Oracle BI Admin. Ensure the Oracle BI Publisher platform meets security standards and policies, participate in the development of procedures and tools in support of them. Perform Oracle BI Publisher troubleshooting and performance optimization. Ensure Oracle BI Publisher platform operates as a highly efficient platform, which meets or exceeds service level agreement (SLAs) and operational readiness requirements. Develop processes for reporting on the Oracle BI Publisher platform’s utilization, availability, and performance. Document disaster recovery (DR) processes associated with the Oracle BI platform. Support Oracle BI Publisher job scheduler, private data model connections, and runtime configuration. Position based in Austin, TX. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.
Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical engineering field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or with application development. Must have two years of experience in the following: Developing API’s using SQL, PLSQL, and XML; Developing and customizing BI applications using the Oracle BI Tech stack; Designing XML data templates and data models in BI Publisher; Software Development Life-Cycle; Performing OBIEE migration and merges; and Working in a data-driven environment to develop business intelligence applications and models using Oracle BI stack.
