PATH is a small, open, close-knit therapeutic community that offers intensive residential mental health treatment for young adults aged 18-30 years, in a comfortable home environment located in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Residents work daily with our specialized team to become more engaged in our community and confident in themselves. The goal is for residents to develop a sense of mastery, reflectiveness, and effectiveness in embracing life. Position Summary

The Overnight Coordinator position is a full time onsite overnight sleep position. The position requires the individual to spend from 10 pm-8am at PATH at Stone Summit five nights a week. The position is a sleep over spot and as such affords the employee the opportunity to sleep in a prearranged space for the duration of this shift. This position is required to respond to all potential emergencies that occur overnight including but not limited to health and safety related emergencies. This individual will be the first responder to any in house emergencies and will then follow our protocols to immediately contact additional support staff as needed. This position may also provide relief support on an as needed basis. This individual will be trained in all aspects of this work.

Working Relationships

This position will report to the Director of Operations. The nature of the position will facilitate direct contact with many of PATH’s staff and residents. As such a professional and collaborative relationship is a critical component of the work.

General Responsibilities

Be present onsite at PATH during the overnight shift and available to residents in the case of an emergency.

Act as first responder to any in-house emergencies, including but not limited to health and safety-related situations.

Follow PATH protocols to immediately contact additional support staff as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This position requires a strong professional approach to the nature of the work and the staff and residents of PATH. The level of involvement with others requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to work well under pressure and the ability to work with a diverse population is critical to the success of this individual.

Within the position, med room, basic first aid, CPR and AED training are required. Training provided by PATH. In addition, prior experience working with young adults in a residential or like environment is critical. Exceptional communication skills are mandatory with an emphasis on respect and collaborative engagement within the community. Timeliness and dependability are a must
