General Summary Under designated supervision, prepare and serve food and beverage items (on a part-time basis) performed at the drive through window for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Elkwood facility. Essential Job Functions Ensure food products are handled/stored in compliance with safety practices. Ensure foods retain their flavor, freshness and nutritional value. Maintain sanitation, safety and hygiene standards to include frequent hand washing, cleaning and sanitizing the workstation, equipment, utensils, trays, counter tops, etc. Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking utensils/equipment. Inspect and prepare ingredients for cooking (washing, shredding, grating, chopping, peeling, dicing, blending, cutting, etc.). Check food while cooking (flipping, stirring, microwaving, brewing, steaming, frying, etc.). Ensure appropriate and pleasant appearance of items before they are served to the customer. Prepare all food and beverage items as directed in a safe, sanitary and timely manner. Fill in for other kitchen staff employees when needed. Follow recipes, portion and presentation specifications. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure the kitchen stays clean, organized and free of hazards. Receive/re-stock items (cups, plates, utensils, condiments, coffee items, etc.) as needed throughout the shift. May assist with unloading of deliveries. Stack, rinse, soak and wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils. Sell food items. Take forms of payment using cash register and/or credit card machine. Complete customer transactions accurately and effectively.
