Server Captain

If you have a passion for warm hospitality, incredible food, and working with fun and friendly co-workers and guests in a welcoming environment, you are the person we want to join our team. We are looking for a professional Front Server. The dining room team works with management and all back-of-house team members. You are the main point of contact for serving guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the happiness of all guests

Be present on the floor to make sure that service runs smoothly

Serve and clear food in cooperation with the team

Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness

Be knowledgeable of the food, wine and cocktails on the menu

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of service experience, be able to handle a high volume/fine dining environment and should have a general food and wine knowledge. That said, we will train the right person.

Skills

Sommelier track greatly preferred, passion for wine and cocktails a must.

Strong existing knowledge of food, wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, coffee, and tea

Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently

Genuine apparent warmth and friendliness, a passion for food and hospitality

A strong desire to learn more

Able to communicate clearly and concisely with teammates and guests

Detailed knowledge of the food offerings including ingredients, sources, preparation methods, possible limitations, and allergens

Maintain composure and remain calm under pressure, resolve problems using good judgment

Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment

About Us: Tremolo Bar is owned by Jarad Slipp, a Master Sommelier and CIA/ICIF trained chef. He brings his lifetime of fine dining experience and wealth of wine knowledge to this new neighborhood casual fine dining establishment.

Compensation: Hourly base rate plus share of tip pool. Our captains have made average $30-50 an hour over the last year.
