SUMMARY

The Containerized Waste Processing Technician ensures safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes by properly receiving, screening, unloading, treating and tracking incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with off-loading operations for receipt of bulk and non-bulk containers into the facility’s storage systems for process and handling.

Forklift operations to facilitate the handling of all non-bulk containerized waste.

Consolidates like-wastes wherever possible in order to improve economic outcomes.

Store waste containers properly in all designated plant storage areas.

Small repairs and handyman like tasks including but not limited to pipe fitting, etc. Basic wiring and/or mechanical troubleshooting a plus.

Willingness to advance by learning waste streams, manifesting, profiling, and quality control processes as well as other responsibilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to use light equipment, such as forklift and pallet-jack.

Skilled using hand and shop tools.

Demonstrates, accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.

Has a history of steady employment.

Has a drivers license.

Ability to physically move drums using a drum cart.

Has basic math skills.
