SECURITY/LOCKSMITH COMPANY SEEKS FULL TIME DRIVER/APPRENTICE TO WORK WITH AN EXPERT INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
We are looking for a Full-Time Driver to provide comfortable, safe, and timely transportation and to train under an Expert Locksmith Security Technician. Learn the Trade of Locksmithing: Locks, Door Hardware, Door Installations, Safes and Electronic Security Hardware (including Electrified Locks & Access Control)
The hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility for an early start (prior to 8 a.m.) and most workdays ending at 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Patience, kindness, mild temperament, professionalism, and reliability are required to fit this role.
Familiarity with GPS and general knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods within Nassau and Suffolk counties are required.
While job sites are primarily on Long Island, occasional travel to New Jersey and Upstate New York will be required.
Driver responsibilities include but are not limited to communicating with dispatch, truck/parts inventory, spotting tech when on a ladder, handing tech tools, some lifting, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions, and managing the best routes.
To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record with no traffic violations, and live close to Rocky Point, NY.
Please note: You will need to be able to drive a company vehicle, take it home each day, and have off-street/driveway parking.
Hourly: $20-23
